PCSP Students Attend the 62nd Annual School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies

PCSP Students at Utah

PC School of Pharmacy students recently attended the 62nd Annual School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies.  This internationally recognized educational program is held on the University of Utah School of Medicine campus, which is located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, just two miles east of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

PCSP students Sarah Masi, Jean Whyte, Samantha Hill, and faculty member Dr. David Eagerton joined pharmacy students and faculty from across the nation.  During the six-day program, students increased their understanding about the science of addiction to alcohol and other abused substances and learned more about the process of recovery from addition.  Students also had opportunities to network with their peers to develop new ideas for educating their communities about prescription drug abuse through the Generation RX project.

This is the second consecutive year that PCSP students have attended the conference.
