Community Service Day 2016
It is a tradition at the Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy that the entering P1 class, staff and faculty have a day of service in the Clinton and Laurens County communities. We closed the school for the afternoon of August 18, 2016, and formed 15 teams to disperse for various service projects. Those teams went to:
NHC HealthCare – Clinton
The Community Garden
United Ministries of Clinton
Paws Animal Wildlife Sanctuary of Laurens
Bailey Manor Retirement Community
Hospice Store of Clinton
The Clinton Presbyterian Community
Laurens County Humane Society
Palmetto Equestrian Therapeutic Riding Center
Christ Central Ministries – Joanna
Laurens County Habitat for Humanity
The teams provided companionship and played games with residents, painted, shoveled, organized clothing, pulled weeds and landscaped, groomed horses, walked animals, cleaned cages, washed windows, power washed flooring, and much more.
The fellowship, pride of community, and dedication to service was the major goal for our new students, staff and faculty while giving back to our community.
