The student volunteer effort was part of the annual PC School of Pharmacy Service Day.<\/p>\n<p>Bobby Azevedo, of Simpsonville, S.C., was one of five students to volunteer at a mission station for <a href=\"https:\/\/christcentralministries.org\/\">Christ Central Ministries<\/a>, located in Joanna, S.C.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHelping their cause may have been the best use of my time in many years,\u201d Azevedo said. \u201cThe people at Christ Central are the most devoted, hard-working, and caring people, and their impact on the Clinton community is immeasurable. They have molded so many minds and brought about so much positivity to this world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Azevedo, his classmates, and three School of Pharmacy professors organized and sorted clothes, blankets and toys at the nonprofit that provides hope and help to children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we were there, those who run the mission station shared some stories of the children who have come through their programs that brought a tear to our eyes on several occasions,\u201d Azevedo said.<\/p>\n<p>Other pharmacy students and professors spent time with residents at local retirement centers and a center for those with special needs. Some students passed out food to the needy, while others lent a hand to help build a Habitat for Humanity House and walked dogs and cleaned at the Laurens County Humane Society.<\/p>\n<h2>Visit Campus<\/h2>\n<p>Are you interested in earning your PharmD at a pharmacy school that cares for the community?
