Grant submission to OSP

Completion of Proposal Processing Form  Must be completed with all necessary signatures and submitted to OSP no later than 7 business days before grant deadline.  For NIH grants this requires a longer window and should be done no less than 10 business days before grant deadline. If there is a sub-contract this process needs to be started a minimum of 14 business days before the grant deadline.

Developing a Budget

1.ALL GRANTS:  Proposal Budget Form-NFS Format, Budget Form-NIH Format, and Other Support

• 1.Definition of Participant Support
• 2.Indirect Rates
• 3.Fringe Benefit Rates
• 4.Travel Reimbursement Rates
• 5.Grant Related Electronic Purchasing Policy

2.Sub-Award Agreements

• 1.PC as SubAward Recipient (eg. you are a sub-contract on a grant submitted by your collaborator through their institution)

1. Prime Award Contact Info: Filled out by your collaborator for you to give to  PC OSP
2. Scope of Work: Filled out by the PC PI on Sub Award and routed through PC OSP who will route to Prime Award Institution
3. Modification to SubAward: Needed in future years of funding if there is a modification to the scope of work or budget of the sub-contract.

• 2.SubAward Under a PC Prime Award (eg. your collaborator is a sub-contract on a grant with a PC PI)

1. PC OSP Contact: Form for your subaward collaborator to give to their OSP office (PC Contact Info)
2. Sub Award OSP contact: Form your subaward collaborator needs to fill out for the PC OSP office (Subcontract Award)
3. Scope of Work: Filled out by sub-award collaborator and routed through their OSP to PC OSP
4. Other Support: Filled out by sub-award collaborator and routed through their OSP to PC OSP
5. Modification to SubAward:  Needed in future years of funding if there is a modification to the scope of work or budget of the sub-contract.
