Our primary mission is to improve healthcare by educating students to become caring, competent and ethical pharmacists. We are committed to delivering quality and innovative teaching methodologies to our students, providing them with the scientific foundation needed to make sound clinical decisions.  In the area of service we will be active and will assume leadership roles in the local community and in professional and scientific organizations.  We will develop a strong culture of cooperation and collaboration while working closely with our colleagues in the Department of Pharmacy Practice to insure integration and application of subject matter. As a department we will vigorously pursue and advance scholarship through collaborations with other regional institutions, departments and pharmaceutical companies while striving to achieve a realistic balance between teaching, service and scholarship.
